I recently completed my Ph.D. in the Political Science Department at Rutgers, New Brunswick. My research is on Women and Politics, the theory and practice of political representation, legislative politics, and gender quotas, with regional interests in the UK, Europe, and the USA.
My doctoral dissertation, When Does He Speak for She? Men Representing Women in Parliament, addresses when and why men in politics seek to represent women's interests, and how the presence of women shapes male legislators' behavior.
Most recently, I worked on Capitol Hill as a 2018-19 American Political Science Association Congressional Fellow
